Thinking about studying in Canada? Your personal guide for Canada Mongolia college connection

Colleges in Canada accept foreign students based on variety of criteria. Most will accept students into their ESL (English as a Second Language) program without any language prerequisites. Once you have accepted and enrolled in any ESL programs it is much easier to apply for their academic programs.

There are five big advantages when you first enroll to ESL program as an international student.

  1. If your TOFEL score is not enough to get into college academic programs then ESL can be useful.
  2. When you apply for ESL program usually takes more faster to prepare the paperwork and get accepted.
  3. Less pressure than normal academic program. Especially when you new to country, it can be very though to excel in school when you have to worry about your housing, food, and getting to know the new culture. It takes time to get yourself settled and focus on your study along.
  4. More time to find yourself some supplement income job. If you have limited income like I did, you need to find a part-time job where you can earn some additional income. This could be working at local coffee shop, house cleaning, baby sitting or paining houses.Living on your own is expensive. You have to pay for all your expenses, which means no more free food, no more free room, no more free any stuff.
  5. More time to enjoy life. My years at ESL school was more fun than any. I remember we had field trips, cultural days, potlucks, and just hand around. We used to go everywhere. So please enjoy your time while you are in ESL program, otherwise you will have no time later...

In my experience going to ESL class was a huge plus. You make friends and learn about local schools, and feel the welcome of different culture, because everyone in your ESL class is just like you. So make the best of it. The rest of the country is so busy and have very little time for you.
